As my final project for the Fachklasse Grafik, I created various illustrations on the theme of 'norms' to express a new interpretation of the pencil. The result was 80 cards in a storage box. The concept: since childhood, I have considered the pencil to be an ideal means of expression, allowing me to express thoughts outside of regulated language systems. The pencil is therefore both a functional tool and a symbol of social, cultural and educational norms. The colour scheme is based on a fresh green, complemented by pink and light blue as accent colours. The title "Das ist (k)ein Bleistift" (This is (not) a pencil) is inspired by René Magritte's "Ceci n'est pas une pipe".
